Programme for 2019

Thurs 21st Feb   6.15 – 6.45pm - AGM : 7pm  All About Chrysanthemums and Dahlias
David Hall from Halls of Heddon

Top award winning Dahlia and Chrysanthemum grower David Hall has agreed to talk extensively on his knowledge of these flowers, including how the business started to where it is today. David will be bringing plants to show and will also have plants available for sale. 

Thurs 11th April  7pm - Growing Vegetables - Nikki Wright    

Nikki is in charge of looking after a large vegetable garden for a local estate and will discuss the challenges of growing vegetables for vegetarians.

Thurs 13th June - Flower Arrangements and Hand Ties - Cerys Gill

Demonstrations and arrangements by Cery Gill using cut flowers grown by members. This will
take place in the Village Hall.

Thurs 18th July –  Littlethorpe Garden and Potteries Visit 5.30 - 6.30pm Waldens Garden @ £6.00 pp 7pm- Littlethorpe Potteries  

Sally Walden has offered a visit round her superbly colourful  perennial garden complete with lake, in
Littlethorpe. Tea and home made cake will be included. This will be followed by a visit to the local Potteries.

Thurs Aug 15th @ 3pm - Martin Fish Garden Tour

Martin will give a guided tour round his own garden showing areas and plants of interest with Q & A and with tea and cake to follow. £7.00 per person. 

Thurs Oct 24th – Creating the Winter Garden at Harlow Carr

Talk by Russell  Watkins,Team Leader, who developed and maintains the fabulously colourful Winter Walk at Harlow Carr. Advice and plant demos.
